Brief compilation of film footage and audio from the Jack Guy Collection, recorded circa 1960s around Beech Creek, North Carolina. This selection -- featuring highlights from Guy's original silent film footage, paired with audio from the collection -- was created for a presentation at the Banjo Gathering in Bristol, Tennessee, November 3, 2023. Numerous Beech Mountain / Beech Creek musicians and craftspeople -- including banjo players and instrument makers Tab Ward and Stanley Hicks; fiddler Buna Hicks; and toymaker and entrepreneur Jack Guy -- may be seen throughout the footage.
