Music and ukulele arrangement by Albert Treadway; lyric by Bill Harwell. Published by Albert Treadway and Bill Harwell, Bakhead-Leland Hotel, Birmingham, Alabama, 1930s.

Dunk Rendleman and his Alabamians served, in the late 1920s / early 1930s, as house band at Birmingham's Bankhead Hotel, broadcasting live from the hotel on local radio station WBRC. In 1927, at a temporary studio over Birmingham's Forbes Piano Company, the band also recorded at least three sides -- "Me and My Shadow," "Hot Heels," and "Mean Dog Blues" -- for the Gennett Record label.
