Dave Miles

Cather's research in this era led him also to Dave Miles: a blues harmonica player, singer, and guitarist whose first recordings — eight tunes with the raucous Birmingham Jug Band — had appeared on the Okeh label in 1930.

The last surviving member of that original ensemble, Miles recorded several performances for Cather in the mid-1960s.
